A simple mindfulness goal: To unsee/unlearn the idea of separation. Especially with nature; but also with all things. Fundamentally, it does not exist. Only rearrangement.

A simple mindfulness goal: To make every sip of coffee be as deeply fulfilling as the first sip of coffee.
My wife Bethany’s Birthday post contains a a mindful truth: Happiness is always found within.
Beatrix, age 13, has a deathly fear of needles. When the vaccine was made available for her age group, I made her a promise: Get the vaccine (both shots) and I’ll take you out to dinner anywhere you’d like.
Beatrix, because she is wise, chose the most expensive and fanciest place in town. The problem of raising a young lady of taste. Tonight, we delivered on that promise.

Beatrix chose to split their signature dish with me, Steak Diane. With some whipped potatoes on the side.

That left enough room for their four layer devil’s food cake with caramel sauce for dessert.

Asked if it was worth getting two shots for, Beatrix said, “Definitely!”
Our wallet is happy we don’t live in Yountville.
We’ve been taking advantage of the bounty of trails we have in the Twin Cities to take a hike whenever the opportunity presents itself, usually on invitation of a friend.
Here’s tonight’s walk. I didn’t start the app until halfway through so take the numbers and double them.
