Doing a good job sticking to my very slow/no/low-carb diabetic diet, doing circus rigging for 30+ hours a week for the last three weeks, and being generally active have me down below 200 pounds for the first time in over 20 years. Pretty proud and feeling healthier than I have in ages.

It’s been a while since I mentioned that my latest book, For You, is available in Paperback, Amazon Kindle, and completely DRM free ePub editions.

I wrote it for my daughter for her 16th Birthday so it also makes a great gift for any young person in your life.

Feels good…

  • Waking up, letting the dogs outside.
  • Making coffee.
  • Letting the dogs back in, feeding them.
  • Making myself a protein-rich, low-carb breakfast.
  • Cleaning the kitchen.
  • Stripping the bed and washing the bedding.
  • Chatting with daughter and wife before we all head out the door for the day.

Gave them pause.

I’ve been working very hard on a new practice: Only taking out my phone and using it when I have a specific need/task and turning it off and putting it away immediately after.

Not perfect at it by far but feel myself getting better or at least thinking about “the rule” when I pull it out.

How I’ve been dealing with email lately…

Baby trying and failing to put a straw in a cup

Some contains tasks/projects that have yet to be properly captured. Some waited for time to think of the proper response. Some required a long answer. Some I’ve just avoided dealing with for a multitude of reasons.

All will be dealt with today.
