My January? Not so dry…

Out with the old. In with the new.

Finally replaced my missed-so-much Volvo XC70 that got totaled back in September. This is a 2015 Volvo XC60 in great shape. Hopefully, it will serve me just as faithfully and long.
Some things to note about these senior photos of Beatrix…

Five generations of her family attended convocation in this chapel.

Her Great Grandmother’s ashes were scattered at the base of this tree.

These were taken by her aunt, my sister, Patrice in New Orleans.

They capture her well.

I just wanted to take a moment to wish everyone reading the happiest of this holiday season. Times are complicated and sometimes everything seems so hard. Yet, in the past few days I’ve experienced heartfelt joy, unexpected wonder, and moments I’ll always treasure. I’m grateful for it all.
The Christmas tradition continues…

Beatrix delivering the closing monologue in the Saint Paul Academy and Summit School fall production, The Dining Room. Her last fall play at SPA. So very proud of how much she’s grown as an artist.
Beatrix’s school has an art gallery and today was the opening of the fall show for student work. Beatrix’s photography project was one of the works featured. Very proud of her!

Reviewing in order to make sure I finish strong in the remaining two months of the year.
