Signs of my Father

My dad sent me and e-mail to tell me about a couple of signs he enjoyed seeing recently…

  1. A neon sign outside the (very good, blues, rock, and roots) music club Madam’s Organ, which is in the Adams Morgan neighborhood. It reads “Sorry, we’re open”
  2. A cardboard sign that hangs in the door of a hip stationary shop in my neighborhood. Typical size and shape like that in many places, printed on both sides and hung so that it can be flipped. However, instead of indicating Open/Closed, it has “OPEN/SHUT”
