Real recordings will be called fake and fake recordings will be leaked as purportedly real. I don’t think the general population is prepared for this, and I worry that news media organizations aren’t either.

We should all be very concerned and the fact that nothing is being done whatsoever to build ethics, standards, practices, and regulations around this stuff is… Telling.

I need you to stop scrolling past this. I need this to be more than a “Whoa, that sucks,” when someone mentions it to you at a party or a meeting or a check-out line. If you care at all about libraries, if you care about people who need libraries the most, I need you to help us fight back.

Here’s a bold idea: It doesn’t matter where COVID 19 came from. It affected the entire world. Instead of looking for someone/thing to blame, let’s spend the time and energy working together with the rest of the world to see what we can do better in the future.
