Date night!

Written on the inside cover of my commonplace book. A reminder of my intention.

I’m overdue for a new headshot to reflect how much more grey I now have. Especially my beard. It is almost completely grey now.
Remember when facts used to be these inarguable things. A handy place from which one could anchor a debate or settle a dispute?
Yeah, that was nice.
I glance at my wife pouring a bag of Reese’s Mini Peanut Butter Cups into our daughter’s Easter basket. It is both of their favorites. She steps back to admire her work…
“Wow, I’m impressed by your restraint!”, I say.
She smiles coyly and holds up one she managed to sneak.
“I can’t believe I get to be married to her. This is awesome!”
— Me, every single day for almost 16 years.
Proud of the lovely quinoa bowl for I made for dinner tonight. 🍲

This is a forest.

This is a full-size redwood cone.
Contained within is 60-100 of these giant trees. Yet, it is no larger than my thumbnail. A forest waiting inside.
Got a chance yesterday to tour this beautiful restoration of the Fitz Flats. Absolutely stunning revival and the units inside are lovely and surprisingly affordable.

Started the morning hoping over to the PCR testing site at the airport due to my wife getting an exposure notification on her phone last night. Cancelled a client appointment out of caution. While awaiting results, will take one of the cars in to get a tire leak checked out.
Update: Text negative. Leak fixed.
