My wife writes about our rather disappointing New Year’s Eve 2023 yet all that we have to celebrate going into the new year.

I’ve updated the list of books I’ve read for the final time this year. Quite a few less than I’d hoped but all the more reason to set a softer goal for next year but increase my commitment. By far, Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow was my favorite of the bunch.

I don’t usually choose a theme word for the year like many folks I know. But, inspired by Bethany to do so (her word of last year was SHINE), I decided to try it this year.
Last year felt like a whole year of “still in progress” for me so the word I’ve chosen for 2024 is…

A worthy plan.
It’s rare to have all three of my children together but when it happens it’s magical.

How it started.

How it ended.

As I gear up for the start of a new year I plan to reserve an hour at a local coffee shop and do a “mindsweep”. Years ago, GTD Coach Kelly did a Twitter thread (before those were even a thing) on the process and I saved it as a text file. Here it is for you to copy and use if you’d like.
As we close out this year and begin thinking about the next, consider whether you may need a Special Journal. Perhaps just some special sections of your regular journal.
Gotta say I really like the new Minnesota state flag. Looking forward to some cool merch with this design on it.

A good night.
