Tenplustwo is a new iPhone app for devotees of Merlin Mann’s (10+2)*5 system.

The idea of (10+2)*5 is to blast through tasks you’ve been putting off by spending an hour working hard in ten minute bursts, punctuated by two minute breaks. Tenplustwo simply chimes when it’s time to switch between work and play.

I can’t even begin to tell you how long I have been waiting for this. No, wait, actually I can tell you…

Since I got an iPhone about two years ago.

VW Split Screen Buses (by rumblestripe)

I may not have shared this here, but my ultimate dream car is an old Volkswagen bus. I even have a miniature version sitting on my bookshelf, reminding me daily of what really matters in life: freedom and the opportunity to hit the open road. There are more of these beautiful buses up on the Flickr blog today.

I dare you to spend some time today remembering why it is you do what you do. Are you living your dreams? Does the work you do align with the values you hold? Are you happy?

It may please my friend Pat to know that the first car that I actually purchased myself was a VW Bus. A 1971 model almost exactly like the ones in the picture above.
