How much work can you do on an iPhone? by InfoWorld: Yahoo! Tech
Interesting article investigating whether or not the iPhone can replace a laptop. It should be pointed out that, while only a moderate success for the author, it was only moderately so because of his specific use cases.
In my use, the iPhone could easily replace 95% of the situations where I need a laptop. In fact, there have been many recent instances where I have plain regretted taking my laptop along. It has sat in my bag while I performed everything I needed on my iPhone. It is now the case where I must make a fairly serious case to myself in choosing to bring it (and grumble silently to myself even then).
In this way, the iPhone has been a real game changer for me. I love my laptop and it is my “principle computer” but more often than not it acts as a desktop computer, not a mobile one.

“Continuing to insist past that point that good manners, thoughtfulness, and grooming oppress you in some way is inappropriate and irritating.
Grow up.”
Great advice for anyone over 25. Please reads and abide by the rules – especially if you think you aready know them.

“What are people doing taking titles like “Social Media Manager?” To me, this is a scary thing. Why? Because it’s like being the fax manager or the email manager. You’re naming yourself after a tool.”
If you are naming yourself after a tool, best check yourself to make sure you are not a tool in the first place.
Robert Hammond at The 99% Conference (via coolhunting)
“In this video, Friends of the Highline co-founder Robert Hammond tells the story of how he helped reinvent a gritty elevated railway into what is NYC’s most celebrated public space since Central Park. He shares images and animations of what the park (due to open in June) will look like at a talk for our recent 99% Conference and shares how he feels after a decade at work at the brink of its debut.”
Siri: A Powerful Virtual Assistant For The iPhone
Now this looks fantastic. Can’t wait to test it out once released. If it works like advertised it will replace a half dozen apps on my iPhone.
