Corter for Boylston Trading Co.
Leather Cover for Field Notes Brand notebooks.
Oil tanned shell with a natural vegetable tanned interior.
Tanned, oiled and buffed by hand.
Editor’s Note: I got to handle these notebook covers while I was in Boston this past summer. Once again, Corter delivers an impeccable product in terms of fit and finish (I ordered my wallet and phone case from him a year ago and they’ve held up flawlessly). To those of you who carry your pocket notebooks naked and experience durability issues, consider one of these covers as a simple, reversible way to add some luxury, and, more importantly, protection to your notebook carry.
Totally must get me one of these.
I’m not a writer, I just drink a lot about it.

Nextdoor Offers Private Social Networks for Neighborhoods – NYTimes.com
The San Francisco company on Wednesday is opening a social networking site for neighborhoods so that anyone can create a private online community, where members can recommend a plumber, offer up a lawn mower for sale and vent about a barking dog plaguing the block.
I could see this being not only useful but also a good way to get people to actually meet their neighbors.
Jon Bon Jovi opens “pay what you can” restaurant in New Jersey, helps hungry locals who are livin’ on a prayer – Boing Boing
Soul Kitchen is a new restaurant opened in Red Bank, New Jersey, by Jon Bon Jovi and his wife, Dorothea. The establishment offers a “pay what you can afford” payment model, and serves wholesome, gourmet food made with fresh ingredients grown in the restaurant’s garden, and other local produce.
I’d say this is quite a bit more than half way there.
Whip it good!
You have to do stuff that average people don’t understand, because those are the only good things.

You’re welcome to this for READINGS if you wish. What I’d ask is that you (or Ms. Rosenbush, whom I respect but fear) not copyedit this like a freshman essay.

As happy as I am with the current light rail, it still can’t beat the beauty and elegance of this.

An interview with William Powers author of Hamlet’s Blackberry
It’s kind of a paradox: In order to get the most out of the connection it’s crucial that you know how to disconnect and how to use the disconnected time.
I actually just started reading Hamlet’s Blackberry so this interview came at just the right time.
