Things we don’t remember often enough: We time travel every time we gaze upon a star.
The light of that star our eyes see is light from hundreds, perhaps thousands, of years ago. Telescopes are devices that allow us to travel back in time even further.
Beatrix, age 13, is out delivering Girl Scout cookies this weekend. You can order some from her here and, if you’re local, she’ll deliver them to your door (no contact and socially distanced).
Highlight of my week was getting to catch up with Shawn Mihalik. Not only a friend but one of my favorite authors. Go buy his books. (I recommend The Assured Expectation of Things Hoped For as a start.)
There are far too many non-fiction books that make their case in the introduction or first chapter, then spend the next 300 pages belaboring a point concisely and completely made in the first 25.

Another day at the “office”.
Finished the first book I read this year and posted it to my Reading page. As I stated in my reading plan for this year I expect to read far fewer books this year because, in general, I’ll be reading longer books.
Beatrix, age 13, our puny puritan, closes her eyes when people kiss in movies and insists we inform her when it’s over.
