Plan the work. Work the plan.
I updated my reading list with the most recent books I’ve read. It’s now current.
Bobby McFerrin plays an audience like an instrument. Seriously cool and worth a watch.
Re: Beatrix’s statement on age and weight — There are many different possible connotations of “heavy” one could derive from it based on her “one way or the other” modifier. Doesn’t seem to be only about body weight, could be other kinds too (intellectual, emotional, etc.)
People get heavier as they get older, one way or the other. That’s how life works.

Slice Planner
I’ve been using the Slice Planner off and on for a while but the past few weeks it’s become my daily driver. Every morning, I use it to time block my schedule, list tasks, take notes, and even journal a short paragraph or two. With the circus rigging taking up so much time and forcing all that’s left into much tighter spaces, having one two-page spread to see the day as a whole has been a godsend.
I don’t use any of the digital syncing stuff. Never have. I have no idea how well that works or not. But, as an interesting take on the paper based planner/notebook concept, it’s great.
“Nobody buys a farm based on whether they think it’s going to rain next year. They buy it because they think it’s a good investment over 10 or 20 years.”
— Warren Buffett plays the long game. What we believe in.
Wow! Squeezed between Nicholas Bate and Penelope Trunk on The Collaborative Piano’s list of recommended blogs. Such kind words too.
A project is not done when you’ve completed it. A project is done when you’ve cleaned up after it.
Seriously considering putting together a book called “Beatrix, age 10” full of her older than her age wisdom.
